Jalen Hurts had a simple 4-word answer when asked about his knee after the Eagles' playoff win
The Eagles will be back in Philadelphia next week as they're one win away from a second trip to the Super Bowl in three seasons. But all the discussion in the lead-up to Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Commanders will be about Jalen Hurts' knee.
Well, the Eagles quarterback wasn't in any rush to discuss the injury -- or his potential status.
With under four minutes to go in the third quarter, Hurts was in obvious pain after he took a sack and hard hit on second down. He eventually made his way to the medical tent and played the rest of the game with a brace on his knee.
But with the obvious limitations to his mobility, Hurts knew the question was coming from NBC's Melissa Stark. He wasn't giving anything away.
Melissa Stark asked Jalen Hurts about his injured knee.
"I'm sure I'll get asked about it later. I don't know if I can answer right now."
Stark: "Are you OK?"
Hurts: "I finished the game." pic.twitter.com/KVWgvE13RO— Awful Announcing (@awfulannouncing) January 19, 2025
Stark asked if Hurts was OK, and the Eagles quarterback had a four-word answer.
"I finished the game," Hurts said.
We'll have to see how serious the injury ends up being, but Hurts seemed ready to battle through it.
