Jalen Hurts declines to say if he's 'OK' after twisting knee in Eagles' playoff win over Rams

Jalen Hurts finished the game, and the Philadelphia Eagles picked up a win but the status of his knee for next week's NFC championship game is unclear.

The Eagles quarterback twisted his left knee in the third quarter of Sunday's 28-22 divisional-round playoff win over the Los Angeles Rams. Hurts returned to the game after spending time in the sideline medical tent and finished it while wearing a brace on his knee.

After the game, NBC's Melissa Stark asked Hurts how his injured knee will impact him for next week's NFC championship game against the Washington Commanders.

"I'm sure I'll get asked about it later," Hurts responded. "I don't know if I can answer that right now."

Stark then asked him point blank: "Are you OK?"

"I finished the game," Hurts said.

He did not clarify whether or not he's OK.

Hurts didn't offer any more clarity on his injury in his postgame news conference, but he did tell reporters that he feels confident that he'll play next week.

"Tough game. A challenging game," Hurts said. "I was able to finish the game, and we’ll see how the week goes.”

As of the time of Hurts' news conference, there were no further details about his injury.

Hurts injured his knee on a third-quarter sack by Rams safety Jaylen McCollough. Both of his feet got pinned beneath his body on the tackle, and Hurts immediately clutched his left knee once he was down.

Hurts got up limping and finished the drive with a handoff to Saquon Barkley before the Eagles kicked a field goal on fourth down.

He spent time in the sideline medical tent during the ensuing Rams possession and emerged with a brace on his left knee before returning to lead Philadelphia's next drive. The Eagles didn't offer an update on the status of his knee, and Hurts played the rest of the game, though he appeared to be limited.

After the game, Hurts walked gingerly down the tunnel to the locker room with a slight limp.

Further details of his knee injury weren't initially clear. Hurts has a week to recover and get ready for next Sunday's NFC championship game against the Commanders.
