After Jake Paul's victory over Mike Tyson drew an insane amount of viewers to Netflix, crashing the service for many of them, everybody wanted to know who "The Problem Child" was going to take on next. However, anyone paying close attention would've noticed that Paul had already called out who we wanted to fight.

Esteemed MMA fighter Conor McGregor may be past his prime, but his status as one of the greatest MMA fighters of the 2010's is undeniable. His enormous ego and ability to back it up also made him one of the most popular fighters in recent memory. So, obviously if McGregor's can't miss personality matched up with Paul's ability to market himself, this would be one of the most highly-anticipated fights ever.

McGregor has already agreed to an exhibition boxing match against Jake's brother, Logan Paul. However, McGregor's bread and butter has always been MMA, while Jake Paul has mainly stuck to boxing. Anyone who wants to see the younger Paul get beat on a national stage could finally get their wish should the fight end up taking place in an octagon rather than a ring.

When is the fight happening?

There is no confirmed date for the fight. In fact, the fight itself has not been confirmed, but it is rumored to be in the works.

McGregor has made it known that he will not return to MMA until his exhibition boxing match against Logan Paul in India is complete. That match is also not confirmed, but reports indicate that the pair are "deep in negotiations."

But the McGregor vs. Logan Paul bout is expected to take place "sooner rather than later", with some reports even claiming a date as early as April is on the table.

Still, with that event and date still not confirmed, any Jake Paul vs. McGregor MMA/boxing match would likely be a long ways away at this point. That said, the fight is expected to happen at some point. Jake Paul has stated that McGregor's team has reached out to Paul's regarding a potential fight between the pair.

When was Jake Paul's last fight?

Paul, 27, defeated 58-year-old Mike Tyson via unanimous decision in a boxing match in Arlington, Texas, on Nov. 15, 2024.

Paul now boasts an impressive 11-1 career record.

When was McGregor's last fight?

The 36-year-old McGregor has not had an officially sanctioned UFC bout since suffering a broken leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021. As a boxer, McGregor owns an 0-1 record, having lost to Floyd Mayweather by TKO back in August 2017.
