Jacob Shaffelburg is the epitome of clutch for Canada 🇨🇦
The Canadian Men’s National Team may have found their latest attacking star.
Jacob Shaffelburg has lit up the pitch at the Copa América for Jesse Marsch’s men with darting runs and tricky feet.
Those qualities helped him open the scoring against Venezuela on Friday, as the debutants hope to qualify for the semi-finals.
The 24-year-old ran into the box, stretched his leg and poked the ball home. The goal goes down as his third for Canada – all of which have come in a knockout match.

Shaffelburg then ran to the bench and lifted Tajon Buchanan’s jersey after the Inter Milan star broke his leg during training.
