A.J. Brown Book Club: 5 other titles he should read on the Eagles sidelines
Look: an NFL star reading a book on the sidelines during a game might be a controversy in any other situation.
But in the case of Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown? Somehow, it works.
Because Fox cameras caught him reading a book -- INNER EXCELLENCE: Train Your Mind for Extraordinary Performance and the Best Possible life by Jim Murphy -- during the Eagles' Wild Card playoff win over the Green Bay Packers, and his explanation after was reasonable: he reads it between each drive to "refocus and lock in."
So we here at For The Win have some other suggestions for him in case he needs some other tomes to read during games:
1. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a [Expletive] by Mark Manson
I've heard really good reviews of this one and after all the buzz about Brown this year, maybe he needs it.
2. The Art of War by Sun Tzu
Self explanatory. The classic book of strategy and philosophy. Great for when you're in the trenches on a football field.
3. T.O. by Terrell Owens and Jason Rosenhaus
Just gonna leave the description via Amazon here:
The embattled NFL star takes on his critics as he provides his own perspective on his two tumultuous seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, including the disintegration of his relationship with quarterback Donovan McNabb, his controversial career, and his move to a new NFL team.
4. Oh, The Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss
Now, if he REALLY wants to troll the Eagles and send their fans into a tizzy about trade demands, this is the pick.
5. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
Hey, A.J., have you heard about this mega popular genre called "Romantasy"? It's romance and fantasy all in one. Take a break from the inspirational books and grab this page-turner on the sidelines. You'll thank me later.
