Ivan Juric’s fate sealed with Friedkin’s arrival
Dan and Ryan Friedkin are ready to land in the Italian capital and confront the team in a difficult moment.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ivan Juric’s fate now seems sealed.
The match against Bologna should be 99% his last as coach of the Giallorossi.
The Croatian coach’s record is far from positive: 4 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats in 11 games, a performance that has disappointed both the owners and the fans.
Juric himself admitted in Brussels, visibly dejected: “We are lacking results, it’s obvious. And at this point the negativity of the environment is also justified.”
The relationship with the team and with the environment, then, never took off: he was unable to create the necessary empathy and his game, based on high pressing, man-marking and physical duels, was never fully assimilated by the group.
The arrival of the Friedkins is therefore seen as the necessary step to decide whether Juric will have to leave the team and, if so, to identify his replacement.
The most popular name for the Giallorossi bench is that of Roberto Mancini.
The former coach of the Italian national team is in contact with the owners and would be willing to accept a concrete offer, with a two-year contract plus an option for a third year.
