Iuri Alcantara vs. Vaughan Lee Added to UFC Fight Night 41 in Berlin

A bantamweight match-up between top ten ranked Iuri Alcantara and Vaughan Lee has been added to the UFC Fight Night 41: Munoz vs. Mousasi fight card in Berlin.

UFC officials announced the addition on Tuesday.

Alcantara (29-5, 1 NC) has competed as heavy as the welterweight division. In 2010, the Brazilian won the Jungle Fight lightweight title. He dropped down to the featherweight division for his UFC debut in August 2011. After losing for the first time since 2009 at UFC 147 to Hacran Dias, the 33-year old moved down to the bantamweight weight division. He picked up his first win at 135 pounds in May 2013 and then was matched up against former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber. He lost to Faber, but rebounded in his last outing on Feb. 15 defeating Wilson Reis by split decision.

Lee (14-9-1) made his UFC debut in November 2011 on a four-fight winning streak. He’s had mixed results since coming to the promotion alternating between wins and losses. He’s coming off a unanimous decision win over Nam Phan on March 1 and hopes to put together his first back-to-back wins in the UFC.

UFC Fight Night 41: Munoz vs. Mousasi takes place on May 31 at O2 World in Berlin, Germany. The event is headlined by a match-up between top ten-ranked middleweights Mark Munoz and Gegard Mousasi. It will be the first time the UFC has hosted an event in Berlin.
