Italy World Cup winner Cannavaro on shortlist for Dinamo Zagreb job – report
2006 World Cup winner and recent Udinese coach Fabio Cannavaro is on the shortlist of candidates currently being considered for the vacant head coach job with Dinamo Zagreb, according to Thursday’s reports.
Cannavaro on Dinamo Zagreb shortlist
The 51-year-old has been available since he left Udinese at the end of the 2023-24 season. He had helped to steer the Friulians clear from the threat of relegation on the final day of the season.
Despite getting the job done in the final minutes of the campaign, Cannavaro is still without a job, but there could be an opportunity for him in Croatia, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.
Dinamo Zagreb have been without a coach since the dismissal of Sergej Jakirovic. The 47-year-old was let go after the 9-2 humiliation by Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week.
Zagreb have several coaches on their shortlist, including Nenad Bjelica, who is currently the first choice, according to Di Marzio’s update. However, Cannavaro is still in the running and is currently taking time to evaluate his next steps.
