Issaka agrees long-term Plymouth deal

Plymouth Argyle youngster Freddie Issaka has agreed a new four-year contract with the Championship club.

The deal will begin when Issaka turns 18 next month and means the highly rated forward is under contract at Home Park until 2028.

“I think it shows a lot of trust from the club to want to keep me on for that long," he told Argyle's website.

"It's time for me to show that I owe it to the club, I deserve it and I've earned it. It’s time to work hard."

Issaka became Plymouth's youngest-ever player when came on as a substitute in an EFL Trophy game against Newport County in 2021, just 34 days after his 15th birthday.

He has made six league appearances, all as a substitute.
