The New York Islanders drafted the 21-year-old in the fifth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft after an impressive career in the QMJHL.
Gill spent five years in juniors, two years with the Charlottetown Islanders, and two years with the Sherbrooke Phoenix before ending his QMJHL career with Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
His final two years were his most dominant, with 93 and 98 points, respectively, with a total of 84 goals across 133 games.
Gill's 98-point campaign was second in QMJHL.
Now, Gill joins a struggling Bridgeport team that sits at the bottom of the Atlantic Division with a dreadful 2-8-1-1 record.
The team is currently on a three-game losing streak and will fight against the top two Atlantic teams, the Hershey Bears and Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, for the next four games starting Tuesday.
