Bond missed the Longhorns' first-round victory over Clemson due to his ankle injury in the SEC championship game against Georgia on Dec. 7. Texas coach Steve Sarkisian had confirmed that Bond was practicing ahead of Wednesday's Peach Bowl with his ankle injury.
The junior receiver had 48 catches for 668 yards and four touchdowns last season for the Crimson Tide, including a clutch catch to clinch Alabama's miracle victory over Auburn in the Iron Bowl to clinch a spot in the SEC championship game.
