Ipswich Town sign Liam Delap from Manchester City
Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Liam Delap from Manchester City in a deal worth up to £20m.
The England youth international (and son of former Stoke midfielder Rory) spent last season on loan with Hull City, scoring eight times in 32 appearances with the Tigers in the Championship. He has made just six appearances for his parent club and Pep Guardiola.
Kieran McKenna's side fought off interest from fellow newly-promoted side Southampton for the 21-year-old's services, and the Tractor Boys have agreed to pay a fixed £15m fee, plus a further £5m in potential add-ons.
The deal also includes both a sell-on and buy back clause for the Premier League champions.
