Ipswich forward Foyo signs for AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon have signed Ipswich Town forward Osman Foyo on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The 20-year-old, who was born in the Netherlands, has spent time on loan at Torquay United, Welling United and Chelmsford City.

He has scored 12 goals in 20 appearances in National League South for Chelmsford this season.

"I've been waiting weeks to get this done and I feel this is a place where I can really kickstart my career," he told the club's website.

"I can't wait to get out, score goals and make our fans happy. I'm powerful, quick and strong – I'll use my qualities to help me get in the team and stay there."

Foyo becomes the Wombles' second signing of the January transfer window after former Oxford midfielder Marcus Browne joined the club until the end of the season.
