Four Iowa State Cyclones football players inked an NIL deal Monday that is among the best we've ever seen.

Since the dawn of the NIL era of college football in 2021, there have been a few deals that have stood out above the rest because of just how perfect the pairing is between brand and athlete.

For example, Louisiana Tech wide receiver Decoldest Crawford signed a name, image and likeness deal with SOS Heating & Cooling, an Omaha-based HVAC contractor, when he was still at Nebraska.

On Monday, the Iowa Pork Producers Association announced a new NIL deal that falls into the same category of a perfect match. In fact, the new deal with a group of Iowa State football players might be the most perfect match yet.

Iowa Pork Producers NIL deal

The Iowa Pork Producers deal is a partnership with four Cyclones football players: defensive back Myles Purchase, tight end Tyler Moore, defensive lineman Tommy Hamann and linebacker Caleb Bacon.

Putting the four of their names together creates "Purchase Moore Hamann Bacon."

According to Trish Cook, the president of the Iowa Pork Producers Association, the idea came to them when a viral photo from the Cyclones' season opener featuring Hamann and Bacon came to their attention.

"These four young men are not only great football players, they also have strong academic records, and great last names!" Cook said in a news release. "We couldn't be more excited to work with them in this fun initiative to publicize Iowa pork."

The NIL deal couldn't be more perfectly timed, either.

According to the Iowa Pork Producers Association's latest news release, October is National Pork Month. With the new deal in place, the association will be running ads on social media that prominently feature the four Iowa State athletes.

In addition to the advertising, the deal also includes a promise from the Iowa Pork Producers to donate $1,000 to four food pantries, each one chosen by one of the four football players involved in the deal.
