Inter score four past Lecce

When the Nerazzurri put their foot on the accelerator, it’s difficult to contain them. Inter did this eleven months ago when they emerged 4-0 victors at the Via del Mare (February 2024), and they did exactly the same this evening, winning by the same scoreline. It’s difficult to pick out one standout performer because everyone played their part.

Thuram took centre stage, providing a fantastic assist for the opener. Frattesi, always in the right place at the right time, found the net and won a penalty. Lautaro, our captain, almost broke the net and produced a delightful back-heel assist for Dumfries, who once again got on the scoresheet. But we also have all the others, from Sommer through to Taremi, who entered the fray and almost immediately converted from the penalty spot. The Nerazzurri, who have scored 55 goals this Serie A campaign, now sit on 50 points after 21 matches, three behind Napoli but with a game in hand.
