Serie A champions Inter Milan have agreed to send prodigious defender Giacomo Stabile to lower-league Alcione.

This according to the latest information gathered by FcInterNews confirming the 19-year-old will spend next season at the Centro Sportivo Kennedy.

Shortly after earning promotion to Serie A, Alcione reached out to Inter Milan about Stabile’s availability. Alcione were looking to offer him a chance to continue his development.

With no space in the first team at Giuseppe Meazza, Stabile has always been open to leaving the Nerazzurri to secure regular playing time.

Despite his burgeoning potential, it’s still early for Stabile to join Simone Inzaghi’s star-studded squad.

Therefore, he’ll feature for Alcione in Italy’s third-tier competition next term.

Inter Milan Send Giacomo Stabile On Loan To Alcione – But Keep Alessandro Calligaris

Although Inter agreed to loan Stabile out to Alcione, they refused to give up the talented goalkeeper Alessandro Calligaris.

That’s because the shot-stopper, born in 2005, suffered an injury towards the end of last season and returned to action only recently.

Calligaris started last season as a first-choice keeper in the Inter Primavera team before an injury derailed his campaign.

He was brilliant between the sticks.

Across 18 league outings, he racked up six clean sheets and only conceded 16 goals at an average of 0.88 per game.

Unlike his highly-rated clubmate, Stabile struggled for regular football, making just 11 league appearances.

He added another two in the UEFA Youth League, though he spent only 72 minutes on the field in total.

Inter hope that a change of scenery could help Stabile gain experience in senior football.

Since his contract at Meazza runs out in 2028, there’s still time for the Nerazzurri to evaluate the young gun.

The same goes for Calligaris, though his deal expires in 2026. He’ll stay put beyond the summer anyway.
