Inter Milan will reportedly receive a figure above 40 million euros as UEFA distributes the first payment from the Champions League prize money.

This week saw the start of the UCL group stage in its new format, one that has divided opinions between supporters and detractors.

The new system will deliver more matches, including top showdowns as early as the group stage. On the other hand, it will also generate bigger profits for the clubs.

According to Calcio e Finanza via FcInterNews, the clubs are about to reap the initial rewards as UEFA will distribute the first installment from the new season.

The clubs are about to receive a combined sum of 1.3 billion euros. For their part, the five Serie A representatives will collect a total of 180 million euros.

Inter will top the list with 41.41 million euros. This includes their group-stage participation share worth 17.87 million. They will also receive their part from Italy’s market share.

Champions League Initial Earnings – Inter Milan Top Serie A List

The Nerazzurri are the reigning Italian champions and have been the league’s most successful side in the Champions League over the past few years, especially after reaching the final in 2022/23.

Therefore, Inter’s market share was higher than the rest of the Italian contingent.

Nevertheless, Juventus weren’t too far behind. The Old Lady collected 40.68 million euros. Despite missing out on the previous edition, of the tournament. the Bianconeri could still count on a decent UEFA coefficient.

Atalanta completed the podium with earnings worth 37.33 million euros.

The Europa League winners were followed by AC Milan (33.97 million) and Champions League new boys Bologna (26.04 million).
