Inter Milan Not Giving Up Interest In Genoa & Bologna Stars – But Face Two Key Hurdles

Inter Milan are not giving up their interest in Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson and Bologna’s Dan Ndoye, but face key hurdles in signing them this summer.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, note that the Nerazzurri would have to offload Marko Arnautovic and Denzel Dumfries respectively to sign the duo.

The summer transfer window is now officially open.

By all accounts, Inter’s main priority is to keep the existing squad together.

That is hardly a surprise considering that the Nerazzurri just won the Serie A title in dominant fashion last season. Therefore, they will not want to part ways with players who were crucial to that success.

Accordingly, Inter are going to prioritize keeping hold of their big names. Even if that means that there is not much money in the budget to make signings.

That does not mean, however, that Inter are not paying close attention to the transfer market.

And according to the Corriere, there are two players in particular who the Nerazzurri see as high-priority targets.

Inter Not Giving Up On Albert Gudmundsson & Dan Ndoye

One player who Inter’s interest in is widely known is Genoa forward Gudmundsson.

The Icelandic international is a player who the Nerazzurri see as having exactly the right profile to make their attack more versatile and higher-quality.

And it is not as though Inter’s interest has faded.

The Nerazzurri are following Gudmundsson’s situation closely. They have two months in which to potentially make a move.

However, the Corriere reports, a sale of striker Marko Arnautovic would have to precede Gudmundsson’s arrival.

Then there is Bologna winger Dan Ndoye.

Inter have been tracking the Swiss international as a prospective replacement for Denzel Dumfries.

But everything would depend on the outcome of contract extension talks with Dumfries.

If the Dutchman does not sign a new deal then Inter will aim to sell him. Then, they would be very much ready to accelerate their pursuit of Ndoye.
