Inter Milan Linked Monza Star Coy Amid AC Milan Comeback Rumors: “Not Thinking About It”
Inter Milan transfer target Daniel Maldini is in no rush to leave his current club, Monza, for a potential reunion with AC Milan.
During his recent interview, as reported by FCInterNews, the 22-year-old discussed his future amid links with both Milan teams.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has set a watchful eye on the prodigious playmaker.
He was in the stands as Monza held Roma to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Brianteo last Sunday.
And it seems Maldini’s performance didn’t go unnoticed.
Though Warren Bondo was the reason for Ausilio’s visit to the Brianteo, the newly promoted Italy international stole the spotlight.
With Maldini’s rise to stardom at Monza gaining traction, Milan have seemingly come to regret their decision to cut him loose.
Adriano Galliani’s trained eye spotted the value as the Biancorossi robbed the Rossoneri of their talented forward for peanuts in the summer.
However, his stint at Monza could end sooner than expected.

Maldini addressed the media after receiving his maiden international call-up from Italy coach Luciano Spalletti.
“I am focused on my training camp here. I live day after day,” the sought-after playmaker said.
“I’m not thinking about the possible return to Milan. Everything is possible, but I’m thinking about doing well.
“Then, we’ll see at the end of the year.”
Maldini could make his senior debut for Italy over 22 years after his father Paolo played his last game for Gli Azzurri.
Spalletti’s team will take on Belgium and Israel in the next set of the UEFA Nations League fixtures.
Afterward, he’ll return to his club duties, with Monza seeking a way out of a nightmarish Serie A start.
Deeply embroiled in a relegation scrap, they risk relinquishing their top-flight status this term.
That would likely lead to Maldini’s departure next summer, with Inter and Milan waiting in the wings.
