Inter Milan & Italy Star Backs Squad Depth Ahead Of RB Leipzig Clash: ‘We Don’t Need To Talk About TurnoFederico Dimarco: “We don’t talk about turnover” at Inter Milan
Federico Dimarco feels that Inter Milan “don’t need to talk about turnover” considering their squad depth.
The 27-year-old spoke about the changes to the Nerazzurri team in a press conference ahead of tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash with RB Leipzig, as reported by FCInterNews.
Inter are set to face RB Leipzig in the Champions League tomorrow evening.
And Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is reportedly ready to make big changes to the starting eleven for the match.
Inzaghi will likely change most of the players in the lineup. There could realistically be as many as eight or nine changes to the eleven.
That is a testament to the fact that Inter have a squad full of players who Inzaghi fully trusts.
The Inter coach knows full well how much pressure the fixture list will put on the players.
The Nerazzurri are in action in Serie A and the Champions League. And they’ll need everyone’s contribution if they’re to avoid burnout and fatigue among some key players.
Federico Dimarco: “Inter Milan Don’t Need To Talk About Turnover”
Inter wingback Dimarco said that “At Inter we don’t need to talk about turnover.”
“We have a number of top players,” he continued. “And we’ve showed that in all competitions.”
“Whoever is on the pitch tomorrow will have to play a great match.”
Dimarco then noted that “Last season was incredible, but we have to put it in the past.”
“We’ve started well this time,” he went on. “We’re just a point off top spot, and we’re close to getting to the Champions League knockouts.”
“I don’t think there have been any declines physically, regardless of any draws and losses.”
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s match, Dimarco said that “The Champions League is the competition with the best teams.”
“That gives us a lot of motivation. We need to play a great match.”
“So far we’ve faced top-level opposition, and we’ve taken ten points.”
“Now we need to take three more points to get closer to our objective,” Dimarco said.
He then noted that “Leipzig are third in the Bundesliga and haven’t conceded many goals.”
“Then we know that they have top players in attack like Sesko,” Dimarco noted. “We have to play our game as always in the Champions League.”
And Dimarco also gave his thoughts on the standout performance by Joaquin Correa against Hellas Verona in his first start of the season on Saturday.
“I’m happy for Tucu,” he said. “He deserves it.”
“He’s always given his best and he’s never said a word that was out of place. That shows you what the Inter dressing room is like.”
“We have a good group, we love each other and we enjoy ourselves. You can see that on the pitch.”
