Inter Milan Issue Clear “Hands Off” Message To Roma With Italy Star’s Starting Spot Vs Lecce
Inter Milan are sending a clear message to Roma that Davide Frattesi is not for sale with the 25-year-old’s start against Lecce today.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Frattesi’s situation at Inter has been a transfer saga that’s dragged on for all of January.
Reportedly, the Italian international wants to leave. He wants to join Roma – and the Giallorossi are very keen to sign him.
However, Inter have so far proven very reluctant to sell Frattesi.

The reason for Frattesi’s desire to leave is no secret. The former Sassuolo midfielder feels that he needs more playing time.
Frattesi has not started a match in Serie A in three months.
On the other hand, the 25-year-old has gotten opportunities in the Champions League against Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen, as well as against Udinese in the Coppa Italia.
Clearly, Davide Frattesi is not in the first-choice starting eleven for Inter.
However, that does not mean that the Italian international will not get his opportunities.
The Gazzetta confirm that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi plans to include Frattesi in the starting eleven against Lecce this evening.
Therefore, there is a clear sign that Inter are still relying on Frattesi’s contribution.
Accordingly, Inter are hardly going to want to lose a player who remains important defensive depth.
As such, the Nerazzurri are still going to be extremely reluctant to sell Frattesi to Roma.
If Inter are to sell the Italian international, their asking price is clear. They want €40-45 million.
Therefore, if Roma do not make an offer of that size, Inter will not sell Frattesi this month.
