Inter Milan & France Megastar Addresses Formidable Thu-La Partnership: “Not Back, Always Been There”

Inter Milan megastar Marcus Thuram addressed his relationship with Lautaro Martinez in the build-up to tonight’s Champions League match against Sparta Prague.

During an interview with Inter TV via FCInterNews, Ticus discussed his partnership with the long-serving Nerazzurri stalwart.

Thuram and Lautaro forged the backbone of Inter’s imperious run to the Serie A title last season.

Indeed, their indomitable attacking partnership was too hot to handle for other domestic rivals.

However, El Toro’s form had been in freefall during the first half of the 2024/25 campaign.

Meanwhile, Thuram has gone from strength to strength, emerging as Inter’s standout performer this term.

Only Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui has bested his 13-goal tally in Serie A so far.

But with the halfway point of the season behind, Lautaro is seemingly back to his best.

The Nerazzurri captain is again a force to be reckoned with, scoring in three of his last four competitive appearances.

El Toro opened the scoring in a 3-1 win against Empoli over the weekend with a devastating long-range strike.

Meanwhile, Thuram scored off the bench to stay within touching distance of Retegui in an intense Capocanninere race.

Asked what the win against Gli Azzurri means to Inter from the psychological aspect, the Frencham replied: “A lot, a lot.

“It was a great match won at home, and we want to start again the same way tomorrow.”

Thuram and Lautaro will lead the line in Prague tonight as Inter aim to take three precious points.

Despite Inter’s strong favoritism, the 27-year-old calls for caution.

“It’s a Champions League match,” Thuram stated. “It’s always tough.

“They’re at home in front of their fans, and they’ll be aggressive. It will be a very difficult game.”

Finally, he talked about his relationship with Lautaro.

“There’s no need for signals during a match for the Thu-La to be present.

“The Thu-La is always there, calling.

“No, jokes aside, Lautaro and I don’t need to score; what matters is that Inter wins.”
