Inter Milan & Brazil Star Admits Supercoppa Loss Vs AC Milan ‘Stings’ – ‘Now We Have To Show The Strength Of Our Group’ Vs Venezia

Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto admits that losing to AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana “stings.”

The Brazilian spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews. He stressed that now the Nerazzurri must rebound and show their strength against Venezia this evening.

Inter will have thought they were headed for a fourth successive Supercoppa Italiana triumph last Monday when they went 2-0 up against city rivals AC Milan.

But from there, everything went wrong. The game became stretched, and the Rossoneri scored three goals without reply to come back and lift the trophy.

This was just about the last fixture that Inter will have wanted to collapse in that matter.

But now, the Nerazzurri must deal with that disappointment.

And the first place to do that is against Venezia in Serie A. The Lagunari are the Nerazzurri’s first league opponents of 2025.

And three points will be virtually essential if Inter are to stay in touch with Napoli and Atalanta at the top of the table.

Inter Wingback Carlos Augusto Admits: “Supercoppa Loss Vs AC Milan Stings”

“After losing, we have to show the strength that we have as a group,” said Inter wingback Augusto. “And as a team.”

The Brazilian admitted that losing to Milan in the Supercoppa final “stings.”

“But it’s a long season. And we have to get right back to winning so that we can pursue our goals.”

“We know that in recent years, set pieces are an important weapon for all teams,” Augusto went on.

“Today we’ll try and do well as always.”

The former Monza wingback made clear that “The important thing is that Inter win.”

But Augusto also noted that Venezia “have something extra.” He noted that playing at the Stadio Luigi Penzo “is a difficult ground to play at.”

Augusto starts on the left flank for Inter this evening.
