Inter are satisfied with the growth shown by Yann Aurel Bisseck since he has joined the team and are ready to reward him with a contract extension and a little pay bump. They are in talks with his entourage, Gianluca Di Marzio informs.

The defender is already tied to them until 2028. The Nerazzurri want to add another year to his deal. They acquired him for €7M from Aarhus in 2023. He has played 31 times with them, scoring twice and providing two assists. He’s been more involved in this campaign, as he has starred ten times already, starting on six occasions.

Per Calciomercato, Bisseck is one of the least-paid players on the Inter squad, as he makes less than €1M. The renewal will change that, although the rise won’t be too large. He has eight caps with Germany U-21 and has yet to be selected by the senior team. They did something similar with Kristjan Asllani not too long ago.

The 23-year-old has relieved Benjamin Pavard more often than usual at the start of the 2024/2025 season, although his showings haven’t always been entirely convincing. He drew a few offers to depart on loan, but the Nerazzurri wanted to keep him and continue to work on him.

Our Take on Inter and Bisseck

Earning the trust of Simone Inzaghi is already a big step for a talent, but he hasn’t been exactly spotless. Perhaps they feel he’s on the verge of hitting his stride, which could make things more onerous down the line. Taking care of young players creates some goodwill that can go a long way and can help massage the books.
