Injury Wrap: Waiting game for Murray, Fournette, Allen

Make sure you have some pregame time to sort through your last-minute decisions; you’re going to need it in Week 7. Here’s the latest status report.

• Derrick Henry might be the primary ball carrier as the Titans take on Cleveland. DeMarco Murray didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday, then had a limited day Friday. Murray is going to be a game-time decision, and even if he’s on the field, he might be in a secondary role. Delanie Walker (calf) is also questionable after missing Friday’s work. He was a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday. Jonnu Smith becomes an interesting plug-and-play sleeper if Walker can’t play.

• Leonard Fournette (ankle) missed the full practice week and will be a game-time decision Sunday against the Colts. Chris Ivory is mandatory insurance (or a stand-alone lottery ticket) in all formats; he’s still unowned in 70 percent of Yahoo leagues. Marqise Lee (knee) had a limited week of practice and can’t be counted on in Week 7. The Jags are hoping to get Dede Westbrook back at some point in the second half of the year.

• Keenan Allen (shoulder) looks like a game-time decision after missing Friday’s practice entirely. To make things more complicated, the Chargers have a late start on Sunday and it’s up against Denver’s vaunted secondary. Melvin Gordon (shoulder) is also listed as questionable, but seems more likely to play.

• Jameis Winston (shoulder) had a full practice Friday and should start at Buffalo, not that he’s easy to trust in a road game against the sneaky Bills secondary.

• Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is going to miss at least Week 7, and could be out multiple weeks. Bennie Fowler, who flashed in Week 1 but hasn’t done much since, is the fill-in. Demaryius Thomas (calf) and Trevor Siemian (shoulder) are both expected to play.

• Stefon Diggs (groin) won’t play against Baltimore, and Michael Floyd (groin) is also less than 100 percent. Perhaps it sets up well for Laquon Treadwell, who made some plays in the Week 6 victory over Green Bay. Obviously go ahead and start Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph, as you normally would. Case Keenum remains Minnesota’s starting quarterback.

• Bilal Powell (calf) returns for the Jets, which complicates the backfield — Matt Forte, Powell, Elijah McGuire. I’m more interested in the New York receivers against Miami; the Fish have been stout against the run, and leaky against the pass.

• Kelvin Benjamin (knee) had a full practice Friday and that’s important, given he missed the two previous days. Sounds like he’ll go at Chicago. PK Graham Gano (knee) is also listed as questionable, but LB Luke Kuechly (concussion) is ruled out.

• With Charles Clay (knee) out indefinitely, it’s a good time to dial up Nick O’Leary in Buffalo. O’Leary caught 5-of-6 targets after Clay was hurt in Week 5. Jordan Matthews (thumb) might be able to play against Tampa Bay. He practiced in full Friday.

• The Saints once again list Willie Snead (hamstring) as questionable. His 2017 debut didn’t go anywhere — three targets, one catch, 11 yards. You need to do better.

• The Falcons think Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) will play this week, but he’s a difficult guy for fantasy owners to wait for — given that Atlanta and New England play Sunday night. It’s the same thing with Patriots RB Rex Burkhead (ribs); he’s expected to go, but let’s see a prove-it game first.

• I don’t want anything to do with Baltimore’s passing game, but in the interest of completeness, we’ll treat the Ravens like any other team. Breshard Perriman (concussion) is out at Minnesota, while Jeremy Maclin (shoulder), Mike Wallace (back) and Benjamin Watson (knee) are all questionable. With Joe Flacco playing the worst football of his career, run away from all of these guys.

• Hard to imagine fantasy teams needing to gamble on Sterling Shepard after a missed week; either way, he had a limited set of practices. The Giants are off next week; I’m not going to consider Shepard until Week 9.

• DeVante Parker (ankle) missed the entire week and forget about him in Week 7. The Dolphins list him as doubtful, but he’s not going to play.

• Bennie Cunningham (hamstring) is questionable, which might boost Tarik Cohen’s usage against Carolina.

• Andre Ellington is impossible to trust, coming off a one-target game and battling a quad injury. He didn’t practice Thursday or Friday.

• Kenny Britt (groin/knee) might be able to play in Week 7, but his status is in question after missing a team curfew last week. The Browns are going to cut Britt someday, it’s just a matter of when. He’s been a complete bust.

• Wendell Smallwood (knee) has a solid chance to play Monday, which might cut into LeGarrette Blount’s workload. Washington is planning on having Rob Kelley (ankle) available.

• Heads up on Marshawn Lynch; he was given a one-game suspension for bumping an official in Thursday’s win over Kansas City (the suspension on top of his in-game ejection). Lynch plans to appeal the league’s decision. Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington are Oakland’s other primary backs.
