Indiana Fever plan to build new $78M practice facility for 2027 WNBA season
Construction is expected to begin in August on the 108,000-square-foot facility
Pacers Sports & Entertainment announced plans on Thursday to break ground this summer on a $78 million practice facility for the WNBA's Indiana Fever.
The facility will be located in downtown Indianapolis and within walking distance of Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Fever have played since entering the league. It will be three stories and 108,000 square feet, with construction beginning in August and an opening scheduled for before the 2027 season.

“For us this represents another level of commitment and ensuring that our players have the highest level of resources to compete,” said Fever president of basketball and business operations Kelly Krauskopf. “This is an opportunity to showcase our investment in women and women’s sports. We’ve outgrown our current space; we know the footprint of the league is going to grow and we want to stay relevant and ahead of the curve.”
Among the amenities at the new Fever facility are a team store, two regulation-sized courts, a yoga and pilates area, full-service kitchen, as well as a spa-like retreat featuring massage and infrared light therapy. A sauna, steam room, float tank and hydrotherapy pools will also be available to players, along with a hair and nail salon, childcare space and a podcast and content production studio.
The Fever went 20-20 and were knocked out in the first round of the WNBA playoffs in Caitlin Clark's rookie season. The team will have a new leader in 2025. Head coach Christie Sides was fired after two seasons and replaced with Stephanie White.
