India vs. England: Start time, squads, where to watch T20 World Cup semifinal 2024

The ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 is almost at the finish line with just two matches remaining: a semifinal and the final.

India, Afghanistan, England and South Africa were the top four teams that qualified for the semifinals after defeating the 16 other participating teams in several stages during the tournament. Afghanistan and South Africa will play each other in the first semifinal on Wednesday, while India and England will face each other on Thursday. The results of the two matches will determine which teams will make it to the final, of which one will eventually lift the coveted trophy.

Both India and England have delivered strong performances throughout the tournament. India has won six of its seven matches with one match in Florida abandoned due to rain, while England won four of its seven matches, lost two and one was abandoned due to weather conditions.

Additionally, England are the defending champions, having won the last T20 Cricket World Cup in 2022. India, meanwhile, won the T20 World Cup during the debut edition in 2007.

When and where is T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal match?

India and England will face each other on Thursday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m. ET at the Guyana National Stadium in Guyana.

While Thursday's match is expected to be an exciting yet nail-biting one, rain threatens to dampen the mood with showers expected early in the day, according to AccuWeather. If the match is abandoned due to rain, the team with more points, in this case India, will qualify for the final to be held on Saturday.
