Incredible, behind-the-back interception highlights November Boys Play of the Month
The USA TODAY High School Sports Awards is pleased to announce its Boys Play of the Month winner for November!
This one takes us out to Michigan’s Division I football state championship game at Ford Field, where Belleville High School’s Adrian Walker Jr. made one of the craziest interceptions you'll ever see.
He made it look routine, too. See the highlight here:
The most impressive play on a football field Sunday didn’t come from the NFL ...
But rather an interception in the Michigan high school Division 1 state championship.
Belleville High’s Adrian Walker Jr. made a behind-the-back INT.

How it happened
Southfield High School quarterback Isaiah Marshall looked to throw the ball downfield, but Walker had other plans. First, the sophomore made an instinctive play to go up and deflect the pass. Then Walker's natural instincts took over.
The ball now out of sight, Walker reached both hands behind his back to pin it. He then smoothly became a runner by rolling the ball to his right hand and taking off the other way. The all-time highlight has made rounds on social media ever since it was recognized as the No. 1 play on SportCenter's Top 10.
This play is now a nominee for 2024 Boys National Play of the Year
