Incoming signing Wojciech Szczęsny’s past pro-Barcelona tweets resurface
Incoming Barcelona signing Wojciech Szczęsny made clear his admiration for some of the club’s greatest-ever players, during the early years of his playing career.
As much came by way of a series of social media posts, some of which have late this week resurfaced online.
Shot-stopper Szczęsny is of course all set to take his talents to Catalunya’s capital over the days ahead.
Identified as Barcelona’s leading free agent target to replace the injured Marc-André ter Stegen, the Pole has agreed to come out of retirement, to put pen to paper on a contract at the Camp Nou through the close of the campaign.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, those of a Blaugrana persuasion, the majority of whom appear to be in support of Szczęsny’s arrival, have been afforded fresh reason to throw their support behind the former Juventus man.
This comes after a pair of tweets, highlighting Szczęsny’s appreciation for Barca in years gone by, came back to the fore online.
The posts, highlighted by Diario Sport, surround the talents of two of the Catalans’ most beloved players of all-time, in Lionel Messi and Xavi:
