Incoming Barcelona signing was labelled ‘the best in the Bundesliga’ by a leading Real Madrid star

Fans of La Liga giants Barcelona will no doubt be excited by the re-surfacing of a round of comments on the part of Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger, regarding Jonathan Tah.

The name of defender Tah has of course positioned itself front and centre in the media headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the week to date.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that the 28-year-old is on the verge of committing to terms with Barcelona.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract with Bayer Leverkusen next summer, Tah has been locked in negotiations with the brass at the Camp Nou for several weeks now.

To the point that a number of outlets have gone as far as to suggest that the stopper can be considered as good as a Blaugrana player.

Safe to say, then, that supporters of Hansi Flick’s side will no doubt be interested to hear that Tah, in the recent past, was lavished in praise by a member of the defensive ranks at none other than Real Madrid.

Drawn on the talents of his international teammate earlier this year, Antonio Rüdiger revealed his take that:

”He’s a leader, the best centre-back in the Bundesliga.”
