'Important to start with a handsome derby win'

We asked for your views on where Dundee will be 10 games into the new Premiership season after the fixtures were announced.

Here’s what some of you said:

Michael: After last season I think we can look for another top-six finish again.

Declan: Three points in the bag for the Dee’s first game.

Jackson: I’m looking forward to the first game being a derby, we will be good and maybe finish seventh or eighth. We need a decent goalkeeper.

Kenny: We will finish mid-table, fifth or sixth, it’s important to start with a handsome derby win.

Stephen: Once again Dundee United have been guaranteed an extra derby at home this season.

Ian: In the past 10 seasons that both Dundee and Dundee United have been in the top flight at the same time, it equates to United being given two home games and one away for the derby, in eight of the past 10 seasons. I welcome a derby as the opening game, but this hurts the club financially.
