Important Lightning Forward Off To Sizzling Start
The Tampa Bay Lightning have started the season with a record of 5-3-0, which puts them in third place in the Atlantic Division. The Lightning have many to thank for their early success, but the one name that can easily brought up is Anthony Cirelli. The veteran forward has amassed one goal and 10 points to start the season and shows no sign of slowing down.

Cirelli is coming off a season in which he recorded 20 goals and 45 points. Going into the 2024-25 campaign, Cirelli has accumulated 98 goals and 243 points through his first seven seasons. Those who have watched his development will have Selke Trophy expectations this season.
Cirelli's numbers are expected to improve as he plays along with weapons such as Conor Geekie and Brandon Hagel. Tampa Bay has more flexibility in the top six this season, and fans could even see Cirelli get opportunities on the first line with Nikita Kucherov and Braydon Point. If Cirelli can keep up his current trend, not only will he be able to meet the expectations set before him, but the Lightning will continue to inch closer to their yearly goal of making a deep run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
