Charlie Coyle is among the Bruins forwards who have struggled early on this season. After setting career highs last season with 25 goals and 60 points in 82 games last season, he has just eight points in his first 26 contests this campaign.
However, while Coyle's start to the season has been shaky, he is starting to break the ice. Over his last two games, the 6-foot-3 center has three goals. This includes his strong two-game performance against the Montreal Canadiens on Dec. 1.
Seeing Coyle starting to score in bunches is a great sign for the Bruins. If he continues to play like this, it will only help the Original Six club's chances of turning their campaign around.
When playing at his best, Coyle is an impactful offensive contributor, and the Bruins are seeing that right now. It will be fascinating to see if the veteran forward can build on his hot streak from here.
