Tosin Adarabioyo has wasted little time getting used to his new surroundings at Chelsea’s Cobham training base, as the club began pre-season training on Monday.

Adarabioyo was Chelsea’s first summer signing, with the 26-year-old arriving on a free transfer from neighbours Fulham to help bolster the club’s defensive options.

The centre back was among several players including Ben Chilwell and Trevoh Chalobah who returned to training a week before the official start date.

Adarabioyo has been working hard on the first two days of training under new boss Enzo Maresca and was praised for his leadership qualities by fans when Chelsea posted a video of him encouraging Malo Gusto to keep going in the bleep test.

The former Fulham man has taken to social media to post a series of pictures of the first two days of training with the caption “brick by brick” as he continues to prepare himself for the new season.

Adabarbioyo appears to have settled in well, and he adds some much needed height and physical presence to the backline which was lacking last season, whilst he clearly also possesses a great work ethic.

He will have an opportunity to show he deserves to be in the starting line-up for the new season when Chelsea head to America later this month to take on Wrexham, Club America, Celtic, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
