Chelsea have announced the signing of midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester on a five year deal with the option of a further year.

The 25-year-old has joined Chelsea in a deal worth £30m after spending 17 years with the Foxes, where he came through the ranks at the club’s academy to establish himself as a key first team player.

Dewsbury-Hall knows new Chelsea manager Enzo Marseca well having thrived under the 44-year-old last season scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists as Leicester won the Championship title.

The midfielder has wasted little time in getting used to his new surroundings and was pictured with vice captain Ben Chilwell who he knows from his time at Leicester.

Chilwell, who has been at Chelsea since 2020 will no doubt help the new signing settle in and it’s good that along with Wesley Fofana, Dewsbury-Hall has a couple of familiar faces to help him adjust to life at Chelsea.

He joins the likes of Chilwell, Fofana, N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater in making the switch from Leicester to Chelsea.
