Idaho boys basketball rankings: The state’s top 5 teams in every classification

Tye Cornwall, right, and Middleton broke into the top five in the 5A classification Tuesday for the first time since the season-opening poll in December.

Idaho’s smallest classification welcomed a new No. 1-ranked team, and three new teams joined the top five in their classification in the latest Idaho boys basketball state media poll released Tuesday.

Watersprings vaulted to the top of the 1A rankings after knocking off previous No. 1 Rockland.

Middleton also rejoined the 5A rankings for the first time since the season-opening poll. And Butte County and Lakeside rejoined the 2A rankings.
