Hurricanes Prospects Getting Top Deployments At World Junior Championship
The 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship officially kicked off Thursday and it seems like the Carolina Hurricanes' players will be representing their countries well.
2023 first-round pick Bradly Nadeau has started the tournament on the top line for Team Canada.
The 19-year-old winger has a tremendous shot and is the only player on the Canadian squad currently playing in the AHL, a professional league.
He's being used on both special teams and he's been a noticeable presence on the ice.
Felix Unger Sorum, another Chicago Wolves player, is also on a top line albeit for Team Sweden.
The 2023 second-round pick had a big tournament for Sweden last year and is already off to a hot start this one with a two-assist game in the opener.

Felix Unger Sorum with some good patience to wait and find an open player!

Unger Sorum has been driving the pace for Sweden and his hockey IQ has been popping.
Oskar Vuollet, a 2024 fifth-round pick, is the final Canes prospect at the tournament and while he started the tournament on Sweden's third line he most recently was the 13th forward.
However, Vuollet is actually the only one of the three with a goal as he tallied in Sweden's 8-1 win over Kazakhstan.
Oskar Vuollet scored his first #WorldJuniors goal today.
Going into the third period he had just 4:36 of TOI as he was the 13th Forward today. He finished the game with 8:20 in TOI.#RaiseUp pic.twitter.com/zS09Lhs9s4— Morgan (@FandomFreeFall) December 28, 2024
