Hockey fan drops pants, moons referees after controversial call (Video)

The Laval Predateurs are a team in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH) – the Quebec-based league known for better or worse as the “goon league,” where things can get a little wild on the ice and, apparently, in the stands.

In a game against Rivière-du-Loup on Friday night, there was a controversial goal scored by the visiting team, one where the Laval goaltender immediately claimed the puck was tipped by a high-stick on the way to the net. But it counted for Rivière-du-Loup.

This infuriated one Predateurs fan, who stood on the boards and hung over the glass and pointed to his glasses, the universal sign for “I saw it with my own eyes and you could really use these if you missed it!”

And then he dropped his pants and mooned the referees, which is the universal sign for subtle protest.

Here’s the video of the fan, who looks very much like friend of the blog Jay Baruchel, NSFW for getting cheeky:

The complete apathy of the security detail next to him would lead one to believe this was (a) staged or (b) that the Laval Predateurs fan code of conduct is somewhere on the level of the Gathering Of The Juggalos.

In any event, the next time you claimed you made an ass out of yourself at a hockey game, please note that the bar has been raised. So take another crack at it, unless you fear it will taint your reputation.
