Hitchin Town 1 Brentford B 4

Brentford B proved too strong for Hitchin Town on Tuesday night, winning 4-1 at Top Field.

Goals from Ji soo Kim, Ethan Brierley, Iwan Morgan and Val Adedokun secured the friendly victory, the young Bees putting together a strong 90-minute performance.

Riley Owen had Brentford's first attempt on goal as he smashed a volley from a corner just wide of the post.

Mukhammadali Urinboev played in Morgan with a delightful pass but the latter’s poked finish was saved well by Hitchin goalkeeper Charlie Horlock.

A scramble in the box which Hitchin failed to clear away after multiple chances to do so led to our opener as Ji soo pounced to steer home.

Vincent Angelini was called into action for the first time in the game and the shot-stopper was on hand to deny Finley Wilkinson who used his pace well to get into striking distance.

Urinboev put in a great cross which found Ashley Hay in the box but Horlock was in the right place to parry away.

Urinboev was at the hub of creativity and an inch perfect lofted through ball found Brierley whose volley squirmed underneath Horlock to double our lead.

Wilkinson was the threat for the home side and he halved the deficit on 31 minutes, leading a one man counter attack and beating two before finding the finish beyond Angelini.

Brentford B trialist made a great save between the sticks to deny Freeman.

Not long into the second half Morgan extended Neil MacFarlane's side's lead latching onto a long ball and composing himself to round Horlock and slot into the net.

A fourth came Brentford's way as Adedokun’s shot on goal was deflected heavily by Toby Syme into the net.
