April 20 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Sunday's National Hockey League playoff games. - - - Bruins 4, Red Wings 1 Boston forwards Justin Florek and Reilly Smith scored less than three minutes apart in the first period to stake an early lead the Bruins would never relinquish in a series-tying 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. The Bruins' victory evens the first-round Eastern Conference playoff series 1-1 with Game Three moving to Detroit on Tuesday. Boston suffered a shutout loss in the series opener, and after being held without a shot for the first 7:38 of the game, they peppered Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard. Milan Lucic added a goal late in the second period and defenseman Zdeno Chara scored early in the third for the Bruins, who also got 34 saves from goaltender Tuukka Rask. Center Luke Glendenning scored for Detroit in the second period and Howard finished with 25 saves. - - - Flyers 4, Rangers 2 Ray Emery stopped 31 shots to lead Philadelphia to a 4-2 win over the New York Rangers that evened their first-round playoff series at 1-1. Emery was making his first back-to-back starts this season, filling in for Steve Mason, who remained out with an upper body injury. The 31-year-old goaltender won a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks last season, and his 21st playoff win as also the Flyers' first victory at the Garden since February 2011, a losing streak of nine games. Philadelphia fell behind 2-0 in the first period but rallied with goals from Jakub Voracek, Jason Akeson, Luke Schenn and Wayne Simmonds. Game Three is in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
