Watch Wilfried Zaha score the latest incredible goal in the Premier League
It seemed like just the sort of thing that would happen to Swansea City this year. It took a first-half lead against equally relegation-threatened Crystal Palace through Alfie Mawson’s header. But in the 82nd minute, Wilfried Zaha bicycled in a pass that sailed behind him from the edge of the box.

That was just how the Swans’ season was going. The sort of thing that got American manager Bob Bradley fired as the club’s second manager of the year after just 85 difficult days.
Angel Rangel got a winner, though, earning Swansea some desperately needed points, getting the Welshmen off last place.
The takeaway, however, was that Zaha goal, scored just before he’ll join the Ivory Coast for the African Cup of Nations – following a one-time switch from the English national team.
Because the last few weeks have produced a few incredible goals, and this one lined up right along with them.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored an insane flying backheel goal on Boxing day.

But then, on New Year’s Day, Olivier Giroud did him one better with an even more remarkable scorpion kick goal, off the underside of the bar.

In any other season, Zaha would have a solid claim on Goal of the Year. This campaign, however, he doesn’t even stand a chance.
