Hellas Verona Clash Declares Ahead Of Serie A Clash: ‘Inter Milan One Of The Top Teams In Europe – But We Want To Play Our Game’

Hellas Verona coach Paolo Zanetti says Inter Milan are “one of the top teams in Europe” but that his team want to play their game.

The Gialloblu coach spoke in a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash with the Nerazzurri, as reported by FCInterNews.

Tomorrow afternoon, Inter take on Verona in Serie A.

For the Nerazzurri, they will be aiming to return to action from the international break with three points. Anything else would be a disappointment as far as setting the tone in the title race.

On the other hand, Verona will also be determined to get a result. They have their own aims, as they’re fighting to remain in the top flight yet another season.

Inter had two tough matches against Verona last season.

The Gialloblu felt hard done by after Inter got a dramatic late win in January, a match marked by refereeing controversy.

And then in the last match of the campaign, the two teams played out a high-tempo 2-2 thriller.

That match was exactly the kind of performance that the Venetians will feel they need to produce to get a result against the reigning champions in front of their home fans this time around as well.

Verona Coach Paolo Zanetti: “Inter Among The Top Teams In Europe – But We’ll Play Our Game”

Verona coach was asked about his approach to tomorrow’s match against the reigning champions.

“If you think about them, they have strength in all areas of the pitch,” the Gialloblu coach said.

“Then you end up just playing a match responding to them,” he cautioned against being too passive,

Zanetti made clear that “I want to play our game, at home.”

“Inter are among the four top teams in Europe,” he said.

“Clearly we have to make our tactical assessments,” Zanetti added.

“But we don’t just want to be spectators of the match. We want to play our game and cause problems, even for a top side like Inter.”
