Havertz starts! Spain and Germany name teams for EURO 2024 quarter final
EURO 2024's quarter finals kick off with a bang as Germany take on Spain in Stuttgart in a seismic clash for a spot in the last four of the competition.
Julian Nagelsmann's side came through a tough examination against Denmark in the last 16, a game that was halted by a thunderstorm and settled with the aid of VAR in favour of the host nation.
Jonathan Tah returns to the starting XI in place of Nico Schlotterbeck after serving his one game ban, while Kai Havertz is once again preferred to Niclas Fullkrug to lead the line and David Raum keeps his place at left back, with Maxi Mittelstaedt and Florian Wirtz among the substitutes.

Meanwhile, Spain swept past Georgia, scoring four in the process and underlining their credentials for the trophy in the process as wide stars Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal cause chaos.
Luis de La Fuente has opted to keep the same XI that defeated the minnows, with Pedri once more preferred to Dani Olmo despite an impressive cameo from the latter against Georgia.
