Hansi Flick sends public transfer request to Barcelona board

New Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick took advantage of the opportunity to call for fresh additions to his squad, on Saturday.

As much, of course, comes as the new season continues to inch ever closer to kicking into gear.

Barcelona, for their part, have been credited with an interest of a whole host of top players from across the continent over the summer to date.

And yet, thus far, not a single one has been signed.

Speaking in his first interview with Barca One (as cited by Diario Sport) this weekend, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of potential signings was quickly put to the club’s new headmaster.

And Flick was not at all shy in revealing his hope of fresh blood being added to his squad:

“Sometimes I think we need to bring players who can win a match.”

The German continued:

“I have a very good connection with Deco, he does a fantastic job and I am happy with it. [We want to] achieve the most important thing for me, which is to increase the quality of this team.”
