Hansi Flick responds to fresh question on Wojciech Szczęsny arrival
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was on Monday drawn once more on the heavily-rumoured arrival of Wojciech Szczęsny in his squad.
The name of shot-stopper Szczęsny has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the Pole is all set to come out of retirement, to pen terms with Barcelona for the season ahead.
As much comes after Blaugrana no.1 Marc-André ter Stegen was ruled out for what is expected to be the remainder of the campaign with a serious knee injury.
The former Arsenal and Juventus man was spotted in Barcelona earlier today, to undergo a round of medical tests ahead of signing his contract.

Speaking in his latest pre-match press conference this afternoon, it therefore came as little surprise when Szczesny’s name was quickly put to Barca head coach Hansi Flick once more.
Specifically, Flick was questioned on whether his new shot-stopper is in line to take over no.1 duties from Iñaki Peña.
The German, however, opted to keep his cards close to his chest, in responding:
“Is Szczesny coming to be a starter? I’m not talking about players who are not part of the squad. Here there are no guarantees of being a starter. This is Barça.”
