Hansi Flick makes major call: Barcelona star left out of squad to face Leganés, despite being fit
Barcelona star Ansu Fati has been left out of the club’s matchday squad to take on Leganés, despite being medically cleared for action.
That’s according to Barcelona insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS, who has on Sunday provided an insight into the situation.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course primed to return to the pitch later this evening.
After disposing of Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek, focus has shifted back towards matters in La Liga, ahead of an incoming showdown with Leganés.
A short time ago, the Blaugrana’s matchday squad for the matchup was unveiled online.
And one altogether noteworthy omission came in the form of the aformentioned Ansu Fati. Despite having been medically cleared for a return to the pitch, wide-man Ansu has been left to watch on from the stands on Sunday:

And as much comes as a purely technical decision.
As per Javier Miguel, Hansi Flick, for the first time all season, has 24 players available for selection this weekend.
With only 23 players permitted to be called up, the coaching staff in Catalunya’s capital were in turn left with a decision to make.
And, in the end, Flick and co. opted for Pablo Torre, over Ansu Fati.
