Hansi Flick makes call on Barcelona star’s future
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has been forced to make an unwanted call on the future of versatile defender Eric García.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Monday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
The name of defender Eric has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent days.
This comes amid claims that Girona are pushing to bring the former Manchester City man – who shone during a loan stint at the Estadi Montilivi last season – back to the club on a permanent basis.
The Blanquivermells are willing to fork over a sum in the region of €10 million to strike a deal.

And this is a potential development which, reluctantly, Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has come to accept.
As per Sport, whilst Flick remains a firm believer in Eric’s talents, and would in an ideal world like to keep hold of the Spanish international, he is also fully aware of the difficult financial situation in which the Blaugrana find themselves at present.
In the case of the 23-year-old being sent on his way in January, Barca’s headmaster would therefore fully understand.
