Hansi Flick finally talks on Dani Olmo – Pau Victor registration case
The entire discourse surrounding FC Barcelona in recent weeks has been related to the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
The Blaugrana have been trying hard, exploring every avenue to get the issue addressed, but it was not possible before the December 31 deadline.
Despite that, the Catalans had expressed hope that it would get resolved on January 3, i.e. today, before manager Hansi Flick spoke to the media in his customary press conference before the Copa del Rey clash against Barbastro.
Hansi Flick breaks silence
But it has not happened and as such, Flick was asked about the situation with Olmo and Victor and their registrations today when he appeared in front of the media.
But the German tactician refused to give anything away and just stated that he has faith in the club to resolve the matter.
“I don’t want to speak so much about Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. That’s not my job. I spoke with the president today and I have confidence in the club. They do their job, I do my job,” he said.
However, he did admit that neither he nor the players were happy with the situation, saying:
“Honestly I am not happy about the situation, and players are not either – but it is what it is. We are professionals. The confidence is there. We have to wait for the decision.”
On being asked to shed light on his conversation with club president Joan Laporta from earlier today, Flick replied:
“When I speak with the president, that’s private – and it stays private.”
Upon being asked if he was happy with his time at Barcelona, given all the issues he has had to face in a short time, the manager said:
“From the first second I was here in Barcelona, I fell in love with everything. The mentality in the dressing room is unbelievable. It is really a good vibe and atmosphere. This is why we love to work here.”
