Hansi Flick & assistant coach spotted in stands at Barca Atlètic fixture
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was spotted in attendance at the club’s reserve team’s opening fixture of the campaign on Sunday.
Barca Atlétic, themselves under the watch of a new manager in Albert Sánchez, kicked their campaign into gear earlier this evening.
Playing host to Real Unión, the Blaugrana looked as though they had done enough to emerge with all three points, upon youngster Unai Hernández opening the game’s scoring inside the closing ten minutes.
A sting in the tail, however, remained in store for the Catalans.
Deep into injury time, San Bartolomé slotted home what proved to be a decisive equaliser for Real Unión.
And watching on as Barca Atlétic got their season up and running in somewhat disappointing fashion, as alluded to above, was the club’s first-team boss.
As revealed by Guillem Borràs Pérez of Jijantes, Hansi Flick and assistant coach Marcus Sorg were both in the stands at the Estadi Johan Cruyff to watch Barcelona’s young talent in action.
The German, in fact, was present over half an hour prior to kick-off, ensuring that he did not miss a single minute of either the warm-ups, or game itself.
