Euro 2024 is over for Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi following Romania's 3-0 defeat to the Netherlands.

The 25-year-old played for 72 minutes of the last 16 loss as Dutch substitute Donyell Malen grabbed two late goals.

Cody Gakpo scored his third goal of the tournament after 20 minutes.

Romania started both halves with verve but could not sustain their pressure and were fortunate not to concede more goals.

Hagi, who is under contract with Rangers until summer 2026, spent last season on loan at Spanish side Alaves.
